Rooted in the Médoc terroir

a human
adventure

Observing the earth, enriching the soil, planning and accompanying crops, composing care formulas in line with natural cycles: these are all actions carried out by committed men and women who are as close as possible to the living world.

Dix Hectares

is closely linked to Domaine de Montrose and the Médoc region.

The Story of
Dix Hectares

The story of Dix Hectares is rooted in the lands of Château Montrose. In 2006, brothers Martin and Olivier Bouygues took over the estate with the ambition of bringing this great Médoc terroir into the 21st century, by producing prestigious wines with a sustainable approach. Fifteen years later, the second generation joined the family adventure, imagining a cosmetics project rooted in this unique terroir. Moved by the exemplarity of the estate's practices, Charlotte drew on her experience in the beauty industry to create a demanding range of skincare products, in tune with the seasons, the land and those who cultivate it.

Continuing the work carried out in the vineyard, she is committed to perpetuating the same principles: respect for living beings, the transmission of know-how and the quest for excellence, from the earth to the skin.

Because the quality of a skincare product, like that of food, depends on the origin and purity of its ingredients, she has made this a founding principle.

“Dix Hectares is first and foremost a human adventure rooted in family land. Values of respect and excellence that work to blur the boundaries between the good and the beautiful. I nurture the utopian idea that we can link the renaissance of soil, skin and social foundations.”
Charlotte Bouygues

a sincere
commitment

Inspired by the local roots of the Montrose vineyard and its quest for exemplarity, Dix Hectares aims to offer products that are remarkable both in their efficiency and in their environmental and social footprint.

01. The Dix Hectares plot, a veritable open-air laboratory.
02. Weeding, planting, pruning... At Domaine de Montrose, all garden work is done by hand.
03. Planting follows a calendar of crops, dictated by the seasons and the natural rhythm of the soil.

Born of the conviction that local action is the first lever for global change, we cultivate the importance of giving on our own scale, thanks to men and women who evolve in harmony with the environment around them. Dix Hectares develops effective skincare formulas while preserving control over every stage, from growing the plants to incorporating them into the formulas. Cultivated on the Château Montrose estate with respect for the soil and the seasons, the active ingredients are transformed using energy-efficient processes that preserve their freshness and effectiveness.

More than a commitment, Dix Hectares concretely measures its impact: an annual report tracks changes in soil health, while efficacy studies attest to the benefits of plants at every stage, from cultivation to formulation.

A desire to set an example, placing beauty in the long term, in symbiosis with nature.

THE RETURN TO A COMMON
earth sense

Regenerative agriculture crystallizes a paradigm shift in our relationship with the earth. Moving away from a relationship of exploitation to one of exchange, Dix Hectares transcribes these principles from the earth to the skin, to promote a more perennial beauty.

Skin and earth are living ecosystems, both precious and fragile.

As the first line of defence between the body and the outside world, what we put on our skin deserves the same attention as what we eat.
